Faith in Nature laundry liquid review

Faith in Nature laundry liquid review: a sustainable solution for school uniforms

Welcome to another week in Laundryland! This week I've been using Faith in Nature's aloe vera and rosemary laundry liquid, which I picked up from Without Waste, the refill shop in Holywood.

Eco-friendly credentials of Faith in Nature laundry liquid

Faith in Nature laundry liquid stands out for its eco-friendly profile. This super-concentrated detergent is biodegradable, crafted with 100% natural origin aroma and essential oils. What's more, it's paraben and sulfate-free, suitable for vegans, and cruelty-free. It's also made in the UK and certified B Corp.

Does Faith in Nature laundry liquid smell nice?

The detergent carries a subtle, pleasing aroma in the bottle, the clothes, post-wash, still smell of the initial fragrance. This is the first time since I've started these reviews that the scent has remained this well. Hallelujah!

How well does Faith in Nature laundry liquid clean school uniforms

I put Faith in Nature laundry liquid to the test on a range of laundry items throughout the week and it did really well. Including some stinky towels that weren't stinky when they came out of the washing machine.

As always the true test is the kids' school uniforms...

The results were impressive, with the detergent excelling in mud removal from the ten-year-old's school jumper.

Notably, it effectively tackled even the most stubborn stains, like these unknown marks on the kids' white school polo shirts.

How much does Faith in Nature laundry liquid cost?

I bought 0.324kg from Without Waste for £1.59 - with each gram equating to a millilitre. In my testing, I used 40ml of liquid for each wash due to the level of dirt and our medium/hard-ish water. This brought the cost to just 19p per wash. If you have soft water and delightfully clean children, the recommended 30ml per wash would cost you 15p when purchasing from Without Waste. It's undeniably a cost-effective choice.

Faith in Nature laundry liquid, my conclusion

In summary, Faith in Nature laundry liquid has won me over. It's an excellent choice for anyone seeking a sustainable cleaning solution that doesn't compromise on effectiveness. With a reasonable price tag and its commitment to the environment, it's a win-win.

Join me next week when I'll be trying out the Ecoegg Laundry Egg.

Ah I see.. If only I had access to washing temperatures of 30C..
But thanks for the reply anyway, I do appreciate it !

I think that’s exactly the issue. We were using ecover again for a while before we eventually settled on Miniml’s closed loop system. It was washing fine at 30. We now use Miniml for most things that would end up in the sewer/septic tank. We’ve huge bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, laundry liquid and hand soap. The clothes don’t smell of anything after washing. But that’s a small price to pay for how good the rest of their products are and the system they’ve put in place to ensure the bottles are reused.

Hi! Thank you for another wonderful review 😊
I do have a query and I would much appreciate any advice :
I had tried using Ecover a few years back when I was trying to find safer alternatives, however, it was absolutely useless in removing any stains whatsoever. Following a conversation I had with the storekeeper who replied that he had no complaints, I figured that it must have to do with the water temperature, as most detergents do specify washing temperatures of 30°C, and when mainstream brands mention ” even in cold washes” what they’re referring to as 20°C at least and not anything lower. I live in a rented flat which has the least energy rating in Ireland and my washing machine does not have a built-in heating system so all my washes are anywhere between 9°C and 16°C. So my question is.. do you reckon that Faith In Nature’s laundry liquid probably also will not work because of the low water temp?

Warm regards

Fay
