Green sheets laundry sheets review

Laundry review: Green Sheets from the The Green Co.

Welcome back to Laundryland! This time, I've been trying out The Green Co's Green Sheets eco-friendly laundry detergent sheets. These were sent to me to try out. With that in mind, I decided to give them a harder time than any of the others I'd bought myself.

Eco-friendly credentials of Green Sheets

One of the standout features of Green Sheets is their strong eco-friendly profile. These detergent sheets are completely biodegradable and free from harsh chemicals. They're also vegan, cruelty-free, and come in plastic-free packaging, making them an excellent choice for anyone aiming to reduce their environmental impact. Plus, the sheets are super lightweight, which cuts down on carbon emissions during shipping. Green Sheets take sustainability seriously, and it shows!

Does Green Sheets detergent smell nice?

The sheets smell amazing, however this doesn't translate to the laundry. The washing comes out smelling clean, even the pile of musty towels that had been wallowing at the bottom of the laundry basket for a week.

How well do Green Sheets clean school uniforms?

I tested Green Sheets on a range of laundry, including the kids' school uniforms. From sweaty PE t-shirts to the poor school jumper that had been used as a canvas by the youngest, and bed sheets.

Green sheets handled it all. I was particularly impressed with their performance on the towels.

How well do Green Sheets tackle tough stains?

School uniforms are always a challenge, especially when it comes to stains on white school polo shirts. Green Sheets did a fantastic job. These detergent sheets managed to keep them looking fresh. As you can see from the ink stains above.

How much do Green Sheets cost?

You can purchase a 128-pack of Green Sheets for £18.95, which works out at around 15p per wash. I used two per load due to our hardish water and the state of the uniform. I think 30p per wash is pretty good based on my previous reviews. I did use four for the infamous towels - they were that bad!

Given that each sheet is pre-measured and designed for a full load of laundry, there's no need to fuss with measuring cups or liquids. It might be a bit pricier per wash compared to bulk liquid detergents, but considering the eco benefits and convenience, it’s still a solid value.

Green Sheets laundry detergent sheets, my conclusion

Green Sheets have won me over. Not only are they effective at cleaning and gentle on sensitive skin, but they’re also a great sustainable alternative to traditional laundry products. If you’re looking for an eco-friendly detergent that’s easy to use and delivers solid results, Green Sheets are worth a try. Plus, with their commitment to minimising environmental impact, it’s a purchase you can feel good about!
